Emily Sukiennik grew up in New Hampshire, moving west in 2009 only to find that this is where she belonged: the desert! Having been in the Sports and Recreation industry since 2005, Emily has worked as a camp counselor, an interpretive canyoneering and rock climbing guide, a professional slackline and highline athlete, a P.E. & Health Teacher as well as the Community Outreach Coordinator in the Sports and Recreation Department for the City of Moab. Well versed in athletics and the outdoors and a proponent of healthy lifestyles and mental health, she enjoys creating a space for the Moab community to recreate, stay fit, and socialize. Stacie Sheets has lived in Moab, Utah for her entire life (60 years!) and has raised her 4 children here.
She started working at the MRAC pool in 2013 as a lifeguard, did that for 4 years, and was then promoted to the Assistant Aquatics Manager: a position she has held for nearly 4 more years. Stacie has taught swim lessons throughout her employment at the MRAC and for the last 6 years she has trained the lifeguards, taught them rescues, CPR, AED, and First Aid. She takes care of all of the in-service trainings for lifeguards as well as for evacuations, emergencies, and anything involving safety within the facility. Stacie's goal at the MRAC is to ensure the safety of all patrons and staff through proper training and following all the safety guidelines while being sure that everyone has fun while enjoying the facility!
